My Why...

This isn't just a business — it's a piece of my heart.

I spent years in retail, managing teams dedicated to putting our products' best foot forward and working closely with key buyers to share insights from the front lines. When that chapter closed, I pivoted to a career in IT — but a piece of my heart never left retail.

Entrepreneurship runs in my blood. I come from a long line of hardworking, business-minded parents and grandparents, and owning my own business has always been a dream of mine. As a single mom, my son was my world and my priority — but with him off to college now (Love you, Bud ❤️), I finally found the space to pursue something just for me.

One day, while putting together a gift for someone I loved, I realized how much joy I found in carefully selecting items that would make people smile. It struck me that so many people are busy, and may not have the time to treat themselves or thoughtfully curate a unique, meaningful gift for someone they care about. Maybe I could fill that void.

And just like that, Curated by Lana was born.
